Luke's gospel is a carefully researched eyewitness account of the things Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up into heaven (Luke 1:1-4; Acts 1:1,2). In Mary and Elizabeth we discover two ordinary women of unwavering faith. We honor these women because they honor God with a response of faith and obedience for the gift of salvation.
