When we know with whom we are speaking we can relate to them properly. Mark goes to get lengths to help us see Jesus identity. Jesus has power and authority to teach; He has power and authority over the spirit world; He has power and authority over nature, and over sickness and death; and He has power and authority to take us through the storm. Mark shows us Jesus' identity so that we will respond properly to Him.
