COMMITTEE/MINISTRY: Director of Media & Communications

LENGTH OF TERM: Reviewed annually. No term limit.

ROLE:   Part-time paid staff role. Position class-Administrative

Hours and wage to be evaluated annually by the Lead Pastor.

Weaverland membership required.

PASTORAL DEPARTMENT: Executive

APPOINTED BY: Lead Pastor

REPORTS TO: Lead Pastor

OBJECTIVE: Oversee and manage all aspects of church digital information and social platforms, including the church website, Church Center, and social media.

GUIDELINES AND RESPONSIBLILTIES

  1. Affirm and support the mission and core values of Weaverland.
  2. Manage & cast vision for the website, its content, design & users/contributors.
  3. Ensure all content is current, relevant, presented with excellence, and reflects the mission and values of Weaverland.
  4. Work in cooperation with IT Support when needed.
  5. Oversee Church Center, ensuring it is updated, useful & fully operational.
  6. Maintain an engaging social media presence on behalf of Weaverland, seeking to invite people into community of the church.

Successful applicants will be competent in media technology uses, platforms, and applications.

Start date: Preferred start by September 2024.
